Hi-lo again. I have a short question. I was thinking I was going to put my crestie into a vivarium, but I don't quite know which plants are good for him and which are bad. Can I please have a list of the Good vs Bad plant? And Also does the vivatium need to have insects in it, or can it be without?

Thanks,

i found this website for suitable plants for chamelons but i think they should be perfectly ok for cresties aswell. Ive got bromeliads, english ivies and fiitonia which absoulutly love a light spraying.

Do not put anything in the Chinese Evergreen family in your gecko tank, these plants are toxic.

dint put insects, they can eat away at your geckos feet if hes not hungry enough to eat them.

What lights do you use in your tanks? I'm especially asking JTTJ619 as the pothos in my tank is growing really slowly. Also, do you use and fertilizer?

btw, english ivy is toxic. I think someone mentioned that.

I use the Exo-terra compact canopy top, model PT-2226 I think. Before I switched tanks I used a LUMINAIRE PORTATIF? I'm not sure what it is but it was made in Canada. For the substrate I use the coco fiber that you submerse in water for about 30 mins... then you take out and put in the tank. By the way thanks for all the input!:yahoo:

Thanks

Also, do you use and fertilizer? .

I use sea magic seaweed fertilizer. It's literally made from seaweed so you don't have to worry about it harming your geckos. A $7 package makes 4 litres of liquid concentrate, put 3 tsp of that in your water every couple weeks or so and watch them grow.
