Advice on what I can put in this tank!

So basically I have an exo terra mini tall 12x12x18. I set it up as a plant vivarium, because I love plants and I thought it'd be awesome on my desk in my reptile room. I don't know to much about smaller species of lizards and geckos. So Just wondering what I could comfortable put in there by itself and it'd be fine.
Also I'm looking for more of a look don't touch as much because I have enough reptiles that I try to keep handled and tame. (leopards, beardie, tortoises, boa). It's in a reptile room so the room stays 80-82 throughout the day, I can add heat easily, humidity won't be a problem, if it is I have a repti-fogger hanging around. So basically the only thing holding me back is size. Any suggestions?

My first thought would be a gargoyle gecko or a crested gecko, however the low 80's is the upper temp limit for them so that could be a problem. If your reptile room is warm and humid, consider a day gecko, either from the genus Phelsuma, or, if you can get them, the L. williamsi --electric blue day geckos.

Electric blue day geckos! They are amazing! Only about total of 3 inches, bright blue (males) and green (females) and they can't really be handled... They eat fruit flies, look 'em up!

Aliza said this, but I just was thinking day geckos, the are really cool pets and they prefer not to be handled, they are also really beautiful animals and are not too complicated to care for. Good luck!

Please don't generalize every species of day gecko. There are some that are very hard to keep!

a Gold Dust would fit pretty readily into that tank. like a crestie, they'd appreciate a little more space, but people can and do keep them in vivs that size their entire lives without ill effect.

P. laticauda would work, but more space would be better ofcourse.

Phelsuma laticauda isn't too hard to keep indeed, but for example Phelsuma barbouri is a very difficult species, even for the more experienced keepers.

I feel the same about a "look, don't touch" reptile. Like fish, I say...only easier to move!
Don't know too much about gecko species myself, but just from my own experience, I would recommend more branches in your vivarium. Both my vivs are heavily planted also, but as I increased the number of branches, better utilizing all the vertical space, I saw a whole lot more of my geckos. Even the nocturnal Gargoyle is very active in the evening, while I constantly see the Giant Days jumping from stick to stick.
I added a picture of the Giant Days' viv...sorta'. It's more of my son AND the geckos, but you get the idea I hope.
