Leopard Gecko Turning Brown

Hello,
I'm pretty sure this is where I post this? If not I'm sorry. Anyway I've had my little guy for maybe 2 years. He's usually yellow (Looks kind of like a plucked chicken) I noticed a few days ago he was slightly turning brown. The guy at Petco said he may be dehydrated but I don't know. I see you guys ask questions about the lifestyle of them so uhm ... He eats crickets usually everyday if he doesn't eat them in a reasonable time I put them back in their holder. I dust them, I have laminate flooring for him, he has a cooler side and a moist side. He usually likes being in the cooler side and hiding but I guess now I'm writing this he has been laying outside of his moist hide side ... That's new too. I have a under the tank heater and a uv bulb I turn it off at night. I honestly don't know what more to write.

Thanks!!Treelo.jpg

He is shedding, if you are using uvb lighting do not dust with any supplements with D3. The moist hide should be on the warm side. A friendly reminder, the warm side should be 88-93.

I read online that that could be one of the reasons but since he's shed many times and never changed color I got nervous!! Yep his moist hide is on the warm side. Thank you!!!

When My females moist hide Is freshly wet, and sometimes if I mist too much (mist the coco fiber as it dries every couple days) she looses her vibrance and gets darker. alost like a brown. I notice this the temp on the moist hide is on the low end of its range and it is very moist in there. If i take her out of the hide her color comes back within ten minutes. Not sure if its the same thing. Was she showing this brownish fresh out of the moist hide.
